Tooth Coloured Braces

For patients concerned with the appearance of metal braces we offer clear, ceramic braces which are less noticeable and
may be more acceptable. Todays clear brackets are stain resistant and strong enough to withstand most of the pressures
of treatment and are often the choice of our adult patients and older teens.
Invisalign

Invisalign uses a series of clear aligners (clear trays) that are custom molded to fit your teeth. Each aligner
gradually moves the teeth in small steps into the desired positions. The aligners are virtually invisible and
are well tolerated and comfortable to wear. No brackets, wires or elastics are needed.
Invisalign is not suitable for all types of orthodontic problems and is most often used for less severe problems such as excess spacing or
mild to moderate crowding.

Lingual Braces

Lingual braces are placed behind the upper and lower teeth and are virtually undetectable. Originally developed over
twenty five years ago they fell out of favor with most orthodontists due to the difficulty of working with them. Dr.
Daigle has used these brackets since their inception and has a good deal of experience with this technique.
The newest types of lingual brackets are smaller and self ligating and should reduce some of the speech difficulties
initially experienced by some patients. Expect treatment to take longer and to be more costly with this type of system.
Although not a solution for everyone, they are a possible alternative for some of our adult patients looking for the
ultimate in invisible braces.
